Here we have an original circa 1910 era ART NOUVEAU RED GLASS FACETED JEWELED SHADE & MATCHING BASE TABLE LAMP. The lamp has an Art Nouveau lily of the valley flowing floral motif. It is most likely Austrian in origin we believe. This is a fairly large lamp and quite impressive lamp measuring approximately 27 inches tall with a 17 inch shade and the base measures 8 1/4 inches across. Nice to find a lamp with an original matching base from this period, as that is not often the case.
It is made out of brass or possibly bronze. It has a 4 socket cluster and they all work with the pull chains.
It looks like it was rewired at some point. It also appears that it was polished some time ago and would look nice with a fresh polish, or left as found with a mutted finish if desired. The over all condition is actually pretty decent for being over 100 years old! I see a few little dings in the base - but not terrible. The one socket is loose and could use some attention if desired. The shade is in nice condition and all of the jewels are in very good condition as well. This is a really unique table lamp that would add a nice touch to any room in your home you choose to display it in. I will package this item with GREAT CARE! To ensure it arrives at its new home in as seen condition.
