Peter Tereszczuk Art Nouveau Austrian Bronze Sculpture Seal The Kiss. Signed

For sale is a wonderful circa 1910 - 1920 Austrian bronze sculpture or sculptural seal by the well known Ukrainian Austrian sculptor Peter Tereszczuk (1875 - 1963). Both Peter and his brother Paul Tereszczuk did these figural Art Nouveau And Art Deco bronze sculptures. It shows a male and female in a romantic embrace with the man giving the girl a delicate kiss in her cheek.

The sculpture has classic art nouveau carvings with flowing form. No signature noted other than the bottom which is either a signature or a seal initials. The Bronze has a rich buttery caramel patina surface and is in overall good condition.

The sculptor Peter Tereszczuk was born in 1875 in the Ukrainian city Wybudow. He created most of his works, which stylistically correspond to the Art Nouveau period, during 1895 and 1925 in Vienna where he also spent most of his life time.

Tereszczuk mainly created bronze sculptures, sometimes with very delicate ivory elements and small figural art works like inkwells or other desktop items.
