FULL LENGTH FIGURE OF WOMAN IN SEE-THROUGH GOWN ACROSS CREST OF WAVE CURVING OVER BASIN.

Woman reaches down with long, graceful arm, tying to catch FANTASTIC 6 ½L FISH, GREEN W. ORANGE FINS, by the tail. BAS RELIEF ART NOUVEAU RHINE MAIDENS FACE rises through ripples of basin. BEAUTIFUL HANDPAINTED GREEN LEAVES OF VINE-LIKE PLANT and relief-molded root-like forms. A curling ribbon-like orange bow on rim of bowl above opening that giant fish swims through.

River and water forms are central to the shape and imagery, yet bowls color is green and theres a great deal of vegetable life. With careful examination of its complex surface by two of us, the only defect we found appears to be a small, old repair with some re-painting to the fragile orange ribbon above the swimming giant fish. Restoring it would take a simple repair, but it is a defect, just as the pottery collector here bought it 30+ years ago and what visual enjoyment its brought ever since!
