PORCELAINS, CERAMICS, TERRACOTTE, BRONZE, PAINTINGS, FURNITURE, GLASS AND MUCH MORE. REMEMBER TO PUT ME IN THE FOLLOWING SELLERS LIST. (after the description there are many more photos, look at them all). Beautiful and very rare sculpture depicting the bust of the Madonna of Nuremberg from the 1500s, exhibited at the Nuremberg Museum. Made by the famous Austrian manufacture of Goldscheider in 1899, as stated in the general catalog of Ceramics by Goldscheider, at the number engraved behind the bust, exactly 2012. We put at the bottom the photo of the cover of the catalog and the page in which the references relating to this fabulous bust. He says nothing about the sculptor, but it could be Friederich Goldscheider himself, because the terracotta is signed in full Friederich Goldscheider engraved in the ceramic mixture. The sculpture is nothing short of fabulous. Meanwhile, it is much larger than it seems from the photos, look at the photos with the object held in hand and on the furniture, to realize the real measurements. It is an exact copy of the Madonna of Nuremberg from the 1500s in wood, complete with woodworm holes and deficiencies in the wood. Fabulous the mantle that covers the head and the neck cover that reaches up to the chin, with an interpretation of the Virgin Mary very close to a nun of a convent.

Absolutely the most beautiful thing about this fabulous bust is the expression of the face and the particular heavy, compact cream-colored patina, almost white, of the same, in contrast with the dark brown color of the clothes, which makes the beauty stand out even more the holiness of the expression, very sweet, pure of the Holy Virgin. I assure you that sculpture, however beautiful it may seem in the photos, is absolutely much more live. The Goldscheider pottery is by far the most important and most expensive of all those produced in Europe in the last decades of the 1800s. MEASURES: HIGH: 16,73 inch; WIDHT 11,02 inch; DEPTH 6,10 inch. CONDITIONS: Perfect in every way.
