DESCRIPTION : Here is an uncommon Austrian Oscar & Edgar Gutherz porcelain table center in the form of sea waves having a scantily clad young female on the top of a crest of a wave trying to escape the claws of the giant lobster. To the middle of the dish is a gilt painted jellyfish and some gilt foliage below.
The left hand end of the dish has seaweed around it. Marked to the base with the three stacked rifles with Manufactured in Austria below. Of the Mosonic pottery had items created by them the whole time during which he actually owned his own factory in Germany, hence those items are to be dated between 1895 and 1917. SIZE : The table center dish measures 11 inches long 6.5 inches high and 6 inches deep. Weighs 1.35 kg before packing.CONDITION : There are two chips behind the front wave that have been touched up in gilt as in picture 11.
