Antique Julius Dressler Austrian Art Nouveau Ceramic Double-Handled Amphora Vase. Amphora vase done in a light blue glaze with a slightly darker blue glaze dripping in areas.

An unusual designed base and an interesting embossed design in the centre of both sides of the body which to me represents a stylized bat. Elegant curved handles connecting to the lip with motif work beneath where they connect to the body. A very stylish and unique piece dating from the early 20th century, c. Has the same incised'Austria' mark and style of model numbers used by the Julius Dressler manufacturing company of Bohemia, but has no raised manufacture mark which you often see.

Small nibble to one of the handles and a chip to the foot (visible in photographs 10+11). Stands 13.75" in height - 6.5" across the top. 3.25" lip to lip - 4.5" over the base.
