Antique Art Nouveau Austrian Gold Over Silver Filigree Butterfly... Stunning delicate figural butterfly brooch made out of vermeil/ silver gilt , sterling silver with gold wash, based on my research dated circa the end of 19th century, stamped with an old Austrian / Austro-Hungarian assay depicting an eagle in hexagon with T and another assay A for Vienna, circa 1872, the brooch closes on C-clasp, with a maker's mark stamped on the needle and the hook, the wings of the butterfly are accented with navy blue and light green enamel made in guilloché technique, a rare and collectible piece to accent any outfit! Condition: overall in good pre-owned condition for the age, some wear/aging signs consistent with normal use, the enamel and vermeil are in good condition as seen in the photos. Measurements: 4 x 2 cm.
