Antique Austrian Silver Dragon Base Candy Dish Dated 1840, Unique & RARE

Antique silver Dragon Tazza centerpiece candy dish with glass scalloped shell with blue stripes. Silver flower design in center of glass dish (to hold glass to base). Dragon has Emerald green eyes. Very Unique interesting piece that would look nice on any table or desk.

Hallmarked A (Vienna Austria) 1840 13 (13 Loth) = 812 silver. 2nd hallmark is hard to read, which includes the silversmith. Condition: 2 chips on top edge of glass (see photo's with 2 pencils). Dragon's neck has a spot about 1/4 long that looks like it was not soldered. Otherwise the Dragon is in excellent condition, no dents or dings.

(needs a good cleaning but I will leave that for the professionals). Bottom is lined with red felt. Size: Highest point 5" Dish size 5-7/8" x 4-7/8" Base 4" x 3-1/8.
