Unique Teplitz amphora figural compote / lamp made in Austria by Ernst Wahliss of a little boy with his pants rolled up, wearing a hat and satchel. This piece has been finely crafted with great detail, as can be seen in the minutiae from the childrens faces on the compote bowl, to the sea shells at the little boys feet.Mounted on a beautiful brass embossed base. In 1905, Hans and Erich named the company Alexandra Porcelain Works Ernst Wahliss. In 1910 manufacturing turned almost exclusively to the design and production of faience wares. Signs of restoration only on the boy.
