Austrian Art Nouveau snuff, trinket, or cigarette box, golden orange guilloche and enamel, by Lenk ca 1910. This guilloché lidded bronze box was made by Lenk, a Viennese firm which specialized in silver plate and enameled pieces from the late 1800s through the early 1900s.
The lid features an engine-turned starburst pattern enclosed by a dramatic black enamel and gilt frame. Although the body of the box has wear, especially the bottom, the lid is fairly wear free. Dimensions: 3 x 2 x 0.5. Wear to plate on sides and back; see photos.
