A Two sided (mirrors on both sides) hand mirror from Vienna Austria, manufactured by Eduard Friedman in the Jugendstil, Art Nouveau style, figural Poppy design, handle and frame are entirely created in the form of Poppies, vines and leaves, clearly hallmarked with the. The Friedman shop was active from 1881 to 1918. This mirror is in excellent condition, it is missing a single screw on one edge. Measuring 12" long and 6" across. In terms of form, decoration and quality of manufacture, this is the finest hand mirror I've owned.
Early two sided hand mirrors are seldom seen. Some light foxing on each side of the mirror, Mirror is formed of two cast pieces and held together by four screws, these screws can be removed and for disassembly and proper cleaning.
