C. 1900 Art Nouveau Old Moravian Austrian Antique Pottery Ceramic Amphora Vases
1900 Old Moravian Pottery Art Nouveau Ceramic Amphora Vases. A lovely true pair of Old Moravian pottery vases in a cobalt blue/sea green/burgundy red glaze with bulbous form base and two openwork handles, decorated with a stylized daffodil design. Marked with the Old Moravian Pottery makers mark of Austria and both have the incised model number'6165', with one having an additional mark that looks as if it signifies the second of the pair with mirrored design.
Height of 19cm - 12cm across widest point - 7cm across the base. Overall in good condition, but one vase has a hairline crack + tiny chip towards the rim (photograph 9).
There are also a couple of pinhead manufacturing flaws in the glaze, which is common in pieces of Old Moravian.
