This is an outstanding very decorative and highly collectible Art Noveau art ceramic design vase by DAGOBERT PECHE Austria / execution Gmundner Keramik for WIENER WERKSTAETTE which shows a beautiful open work geometric design in light green and yellow colour; marked on the bottom WW Gmundner Keramik, mod. 0106; in a very good oriignal condition; the base shows minor light abrassions like illustrated on detail pictures; no restorations; a beautiful Art Nouveau design piece as fine addition for your collection! Measurements: height: 7.48 in. (19 cm), diameter: 6.10 in. GMUNDEN / GMUNDNER ART POTTERY manufacture.

Founded 1829 by family Schleiss / Schleiß in Gmunden / Austria; Leopold Schleiß (1853 1910) overtook the company from his father in 1887 and founded an art pottery manufacture in Gmunden-Traunleiten in 1903. In 1904 Franz Schleiß leaded the company and worked together with Emilie Simandl his later wife (1911). The manufacture was specialized in Majolica and faiences, figurines, vases, trinket boxes and bowls.

The company worked together with several alumnae of the K. Art design school Vienna and later following other artists: Hertha Bucher, Hilde Dittrich, Josef Hoffmann, Johanna Künzli, Maria Likarz, Berthold Löffler, Josef Emanuel Margold, Josef Martin Palme, Dagobert Peche, Michael Powolny, Valerie Wieselthier, Ida Schwetz Lehmann, Wolfgang von Wersin, Franz von Zülow and the painters Ernst Huber and Ernst August Freih. The company was represented at several successful exhibitions in Austria and London. Wiener Werkstätte / Wiener Werstaette / Viennese Workshops. An association of artists was founded in 1903 by Josef Hoffmann and Wedgehood.
