X 8.5" x 7.25". Floriform structure on top of an irregular biomorphic pillow-shaped vase. The flower-shaped area has lots of reticulated openwork--and is gilt on the exterior. The rainbow effects of the iridescent lustre glazes is reminiscent of Heliosine Ware, Loetz, and Tiffany Favrile. The last three photos illustrate some extremely minor issues with condition.
First, there are some quite tiny nicks along the foot at one spot, which are not visible on display. The second shows a small section of the gilding that has been worn back to the white porcelain (not distracting because the white interior is visible too when you examine the piece that closely). And finally, there are a couple of small areas that appear to have been regilt sometime after manufacture. None of these issues is noticeable when on display in your china cabinet.
Except as described here, there are no nicks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. Guaranteed to be an eye-catching conversation piece. I'm Mark Bassett, author and collector. I also recommend the group Pottery Collector on Facebook.
