GREAT KAYSERZINN ART NOUVEAU PEWTER BEER TANKARD with LOBSTER LID 4540 circa 1903
A very nice antique Art Nouveau Kayserzinn large pewter lidded tankard. The body features different plant elements including wheat, hops and hop leaves indicating that the pitcher was intended for beer. The lid has a very interesting Lobster whose tail forms the thumb piece. In good condition with no dents or dings.
There are some blemishes/spots on the surface. Please see the photos for details. This piece also features a nice aged patina. The base is marked - 49 Kayserzinn 4540 P.
