He was most famous for his portraits, painting especially female portraits among the sitters the most popular ladies of the Viennese high society and stage scene. This drawing strongly resembles the works of Strohofer's famous townfellow Egon Schiele, who worked in Vienna during the same time period as Strohofer. The sitter Maria Karsten was an Austrian star of the silent movies. Condition: In good condition, unframed.
