Pair Antique Austrian Art Nouveau Brass-Glass Compotes Loetz? This listing is for two antique art glass and brass compotes in the style of famed glassmaker Loetz but not marked as such. The wavy edged, dark iridescent purple dishes have center holes for a brass nut that secures the dish to the stand.
It has no visible maker. S marks, but the form of the dish and general style is very much like other Loetz pieces. The brass stands are only marked with numbers: 1976 is stamped on the inside of all 3 legs of both stands. Very Good antique condition, the stands. Legs have slight bends but are otherwise strong and intact. S some polish residue present in the metal crevices.The glass is not chipped but has a some light scratches on the underside where they have rubbed against the stands. Diameter x about 5.5. High (some variation of height occurs because of the stands). Weight: both, 2 lb 10 oz.
