Lovely detail enamelling of the period i presume Austrian or German of the period. It may not have originated as a lamp but was made into one. Such fine enamel work containers were made for cigarette cosmetics or the like.

The surface had two small impact wounds that were conveniently placed and the glaze not shattered. The last picture shows the professional repair i made to the lamp.

If i didn't tell you you wouldn't know. There is a little ding or two on the rim of the copper base but it is overshadowed by the decorative brass work which was also polished and lacquered to prevent tarnishing. The lamp has been rewired and is safe to use and comes with the jeweled glass shade. Some of the glass tassels missing but this is easily replace with new or old such a small amount needed. Stunning piece of Art Nouveau enamelling.
