For sale is this lovely. Austrian cold painted bronze sculpture of 2 parakeets or budgerigars sitting on a bronze branch. I believe they were made in the early 20th century or late 19th century, around 1900. They were probably originally sitting on a base as they don't stand up on their own - their tails are too long. There is what looks like a number on the bottom of the'branch' - hard to make out and even harder to photograph! The figural group is about 13 centimeters wide and about 7 centimeters tall. It weighs about 337 grams.
It is in worn condition with some bending to the tails and paint loss and wear throughout. I believe though the pair could be restored and suitable base found for them.
Please note the marble base in my photos is not included with the birds and is for display only. Feel free to ask questions: I usually get back to you quickly. All items I sell are fully guaranteed to be as I have described them. And to France so keep checking my page.
